Curdina Hill is the Executive Director of City Life/Vida Urbana, a grassroots, multi-issue, bilingual organization in Jamaica Plain with a focus on affordable housing and tenants’ rights. Curdina has a passion for creating and working in learning communities to support the leadership of women, Black people and all people in fostering justice to transform communities, relationships and self. Prior to City Life/Vida Urbana, Curdina has been an organizational development consultant and coach whose consulting practice focuses on strategic and community planning, collaborative program creation, and leadership development and support. A central theme of Curdina’s life work is the conviction that the leadership of women of color offers a profound and powerful source of healing and justice for humanity. She has done advocacy, training and consulting with women’s organization, community development, and youth organizations around issues of racism and internalized racism. She has helped develop a shared understanding, analysis, and focus for diversity and anti-racism work, creating steps toward planned change.
