Registration for Be the Media 8: Bridging the Communications Gap for Transformative Civic Action is now open!
The annual Be the Media! Mini-Conference helps participants understand the link between strategic communications and organizing strategies as well as learn essential communications tools and techniques. The conference is designed to serve change makers at different levels of experience in communications including those who are practicing communicators as part of their current positions, such as organizers, executive directors, or policy advocates. This year’s theme will be on “Justice Communication in Support of Civic Action.” Workshop topics cover things like: Framing Racial Justice; Strategic Communications 101, Web Analytics, Using Public Data and Mapping Tools, Boston’s “Respect in Reporting” campaign and Successful Social Media.
