Denise Moorehead Denise is the principal at the Moorehead Consulting Group. For seven years, she served as the director of education and outreach at Third Sector New England, a nonprofit organization that provides support, training and management resources to build the capacity of individual nonprofits and sector to work for social change. Ms. Moorehead is responsible for capacity building training, NonProfit Center workshops and educational programs, program marketing, e-communications, media relations and publications.
Before joining TSNE, Ms. Moorehead served as communications and outreach director for the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee, an international social justice organization. She served also as UUSC’s deputy director for programs and policy for two years. Prior to her work with nonprofits, Ms. Moorehead worked in higher education.
Ms. Moorehead has served on numerous boards of trustees and advisory committees and was most recently a Greeley Foundation trustee. She founded the Saratoga County Chapter of the NAACP and was elected to the city’s Board of Education.
Ms. Moorehead has a B.A. and an Ed.M. from Harvard University, and was later selected as a Harvard Administrative Fellow.
